Carlo Domeniconi's Sinbad suite, first published in 1994, is based on the adventures of Sinbad from The Arabian Nights, a collection of imaginative tales.
Composer Biography
Carlo Domeniconi founded the classical guitar course at the Istanbul University State Conservatoire, becoming internationally known as a concert performer and composer.

Michael Lydon of Soundboard magazine noted that composer Carlo Domeniconi's music repeatedly seeks to synthesize East and West, taking the essence of different cultures.
Performer Biography
Celil Refik Kaya, the guitarist on this recording, was the youngest contestant to win First Prize in the 2012 JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition.

Composer Biography
Carlo Domeniconi, the composer, began studying guitar at age 13 with Carmen Lenzi Mozzani, granddaughter of virtuoso guitarist Luigi Mozzani.
