Darragh Morgan, the violinist of the Fidelio Trio, is an Edison Fellow at the British Library, where he discovered early recordings of Moeran's music.

Ernest Moeran, the composer, made Kenmare, Ireland, his second home from around 1934 until his death there in 1950, reflecting his love for Ireland and its music.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Moeran's music, particularly his early Piano Trio and Violin Sonata, was influenced by his Irish heritage and experiences, incorporating traditional folk dance-like textures.
Instruments
Darragh Morgan plays an 1848 Giuseppe Rocca violin, generously on loan from The Morgan-Rocca Instrument Trust, and Timothy Gill plays a cello by Francesco Ruggeri, dated 1695.
Performer Biography
Mary Dullea, the pianist of the Fidelio Trio, founded 'Chamber Music on Valena,' an annual summer festival on Valentia Island, Co. Kerry, where Moeran completed his Symphony in G minor.
