All the preludes and fugues on this album were composed in the late 1970s while the composer, Steve Perillo, was a student at Boston University.
Instruments
An acoustic grand piano is considered superior to sampled pianos because its 230 strings create an almost infinite complexity of sympathetic vibrations off the soundboard.

Composer Biography
Steve Perillo's composition studies were almost entirely under the guidance of David del Tredici, a composer who also wrote fully tonal music, at Boston University.
