Grandi died in Bergamo in 1630, along with his family, after being struck by the plague following a trip to Venice.
Compositional Technique
Grandi's psalms from the Simonetti collection and the 1629 eight-voice psalms are massive works for seven, eight, or more voices, sometimes with added instrumental parts.
