This album is a live recording from the Festival de l'Août musical de Deauville in August 2015, produced by B Records in co-production with Les Amis de la musique à Deauville.
Instruments
The recording features a harpsichord by Augusto Bonza (1999, after an anonymous Neapolitan ca. 1530) and an organ by Claude Jaccard (2015), both on loan for the session.
Performer Biography
Ronan Khalil, the harpsichordist and director of Ensemble Desmarest, won first prize and the audience award at the 2008 international harpsichord competition of the M. & R. de Larcour Foundation.
Performer Biography
Maïlys de Villoutreys, the soprano on this recording, began her musical journey at age nine, discovering singing at the Maîtrise de Bretagne after years of violin study.
