Peter Sheppard Skærved recorded this CD on a 1699 Stradivari violin known as the 'Crespi', which is part of the Royal Academy of Music's collection.

Performer Biography

Peter Sheppard Skærved, the violinist, is the dedicatee of over 200 works for solo violin and is the only British violinist invited to play Paganini's violin 'il Cannone' multiple times.

Recording & Production

The recording of Croquis took place in April 2008 at Holy Trinity Church, Weston, Hertfordshire, while Tristia was recorded in January 2009 at Coombehurst Studio, Kingston.

Jeremy Dale Roberts, the composer, was a respected teacher of composition at the Royal College of Music from 1966-1998, eventually becoming Head of Composition.
