Four of Mozart’s Piano Sonatas are the subject of this solo album by Lars Vogt. The Sonatas KV 280 and KV 281, in F major and B flat major, were written when Mozart was 18 and show the influence of the Baroque. The A minor Sonata KV 310 is a moving work written after the death of his mother, while the B flat major Sonata KV 333 is exuberant and virtuosic.
