Pianist Zhang Cheng began his studies at the Shenzhen Conservatory in China, then continued at Texas Christian University School of Music, and later at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

This album was recorded live in August 2018 at the Festival de la Haute-Clarée, held in Névache, a small village in the French Alps.
