Ernest Chausson, composer of the Trio in G minor, Op. 3, never had to work to pay his bills due to his father's success as a public-works contractor.
Composition History
Maurice Ravel composed his Piano Trio between March or April and August 7, 1914, rushing to finish it before beginning military service as an ambulance driver in World War I.

Trio Solisti is the Ensemble-in-Residence at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, where they present concerts, master classes, and work with student composers.
