Anton Reicha is considered the founder of the wind quintet genre, having composed and published no fewer than 24 wind quintets between 1811 and 1820.

Interpretation

The ensemble 'island' performs on period instruments from the 18th and 19th centuries, including 6-7-keyed bassoons and string instruments with gut strings, without chin rests or cello end-pins.
