Richard Pantcheff, an internationally renowned contemporary British composer, studied music at Christ Church, Oxford, and was mentored by Benjamin Britten in Britten's final years.
Compositional Technique
Two Fantasias on this album, originally for solo organ, were specially arranged by the composer Richard Pantcheff for String Orchestra and Trumpets, both using a chant melody as their basis.

This recording was made at St John the Evangelist, Islington, and All Hallows Church, Gospel Oak, London, on March 29-31, 2022.
Performer Biography
Michael Waldron, the conductor, is the Artistic Director of the London Choral Sinfonia and has worked with orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
