Three works on this album — And the Sea Arose, Aga vaata aina üles, and liquid turns — were completed between 2019 and 2020 while Krigul was composer-in-residence with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.

Kaspars Putniņš, the conductor on this album, has been the artistic director and chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Choir since 2020/21 and previously held the same position with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir from 2014 to 2021.
