2020 Azrieli Music Prizes - Gala Concert

The Azrieli Foundation offers its 2020 Azrieli Music Prizes (AMP) Gala Concert, captured at Salle Bourgie, Musée de beaux-arts de Montréal. The concert features Kadosh Kadosh and Cursed by Yitzhak Yedid, winner of the 2020 Azrieli Prize for Jewish Music; Arras by Keiko Devaux, winner of the 2020 Azrieli Commission for Canadian Music, Estro Poetico-armonico III by Yotam Haber, winner of the 2020 Azrieli Commission for Jewish Music, and Pierre Mercure’s Dissidence. This concert is performed by Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne under the baton of Lorraine Vaillancourt. They are joined by special guest soloists Sharon Azrieli and Krisztina Szabó.

The Azrieli Music Prizes were founded in 2014, honouring outstanding compositions through four prestigious awards: the Azrieli Prize for Jewish Music, and Commissions for Jewish, Canadian, and International Music. The biennial competition and Gala highlight the themes of Jewish music, cultural diversity, and Canadian identity.
