The album's title, "The Trombone's Pleasure Garden," is a reinterpretation of the historical title "Lust-Hof," possibly inspired by Jacob van Eyck's collection of popular melodies.
Interpretation
The performer, Ercole Nisini, plays pieces from Jacob van Eyck's collection on the baroque trombone, interpreting them as if they were originally written for his instrument, rather than imitating a recorder.
