Siegfried Fall, a composer of Jewish descent, was murdered in a concentration camp during the Nazi regime, as was his brother Richard Fall.

This album was recorded in February 2020 in the Fürstensaal of the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar, Germany.
Performer Biography
Trio Imàge has performed internationally in Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Americas, including at the Verbier Festival and in the Berlin Philharmonie.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Marek Dyakov, an accordionist, dancer, arranger, conductor, and composer, blends folkloric elements with classical music and jazz harmonies in his work, rooted in his passion for Bulgarian folklore.
Composition History
Siegfried Fall's Piano Trio in A Minor, Op. 4, earned him the Mendelssohn Prize and a travel scholarship in 1899, while he was a student at the Berlin Hochschule für Musik.
Performer Biography
Trio Imàge, consisting of Gergana Gergova (violin), Thomas Kaufmann (cello), and Pavlin Nechev (piano), won the ECHO Klassik 2014 award for their debut CD of Mauricio Kagel's piano trios.
Composition History
Marek Dyakov's "Perperikoana" is part of a four-part cycle titled "Ancient Bulgarian Legends," dedicated to Trio Imàge, and includes a personal dedication to his wife, Ana.
